Earlier this year we had to postpone the Earth Festival for 2025 and agreed to get together on Tuesday 9 September 7.30pm in The Red Lion Manningtree to talk about the Festival for 2026. We think it will be useful to meet with the original Earth Festival volunteers and also open the meeting to the wider PACE network. Please do come along.
We are going to discuss a different approach for 2026: a programme of indoor events during May or June – rather than a big one-day festival which is hostage to weather and road closure.
There are several indoor venues in Manningtree for small or larger events; there are people, organisations and businesses in our community who are very keen to support our local environment.
We would like our discussion on 9 September to focus on:
- What ideas you have for small or larger indoor events which are linked to the environment and which local people would like to go to?
- Do you know a business or organisation which you think would support one of these events?
- Which venues do you think would be best?
- If we run a series of 8 to 12 events during “Manningtree Earth Month”, which month would be best?
Get your thinking caps on and come and share your ideas on 9 September – we will be upstairs at The Red Lion.
