Melbourne-based alt-folk trio Grand Baxter return with Silverline — their first EP in seven years — a collection of songs searching for hope and love in a harsh and unpredictable world. To celebrate its release, they’re hitting the road this June and July, touring regional Victoria with stops in Bendigo, Yarram, Yackandandah, the Mornington Peninsula, Westernport, and more.
Silverline is a seven-song journey ranging from bounding indie-folk to delicate acoustic ballads, written by singer-songwriter Benjamin Langdon between 2020 and 2022. Like entries from a personal journal, the songs reflect the songwriter’s state of mind, grappling with difficult family dynamics, loneliness, and the search for love in all its forms.
On stage, Grand Baxter come alive as a trio: Benjamin Langdon (vocals, guitar), Dylan Knur (violin, mandolin), and Jack Wieseler (electric guitar). With years of playing together in various projects, their chemistry is unmistakable — crafting a sound that feels far bigger than the sum of its parts.
Grand Baxter’s Silverline tour kicks off this June. Tickets and more info at www.grandbaxter.com
