Come learn how to use the DIYcave’s sewing machines, which are available for rent in the Cave’s Sewing Studio. In this 2-hour class we’ll learn:
How to set up the sewing machine for a project, including threading, refilling a bobbin, and setting tension
How to sew straight, zigzag, and mending stitches
How to set up the machine to sew a button and buttonhole
The primary focus of this class is to learn and practice using the DIYcave's sewing machines, though you are also welcome to bring your own machine to follow along. This is a great course to build confidence with sewing and using a machine!
If you bring your own machine, it must be in good working order. Our instructor will be available to help you with your sewing machine, but is not a sewing machine technician and cannot spend class time repairing or troubleshooting your machine.
