Explore compelling and sometimes humorous examples of ecological adaptation and resilience in local species—from tenacious bumblebees to fleet-footed pronghorn—to gain a deeper understanding of how other species persist in difficult times, and how we can do the same.
Meet LeeAnn afterwards for a book signing of her newest edition of a local favorite, "The Nature of Bend." We will have several copies on hand for purchase.
Due to event capacity, each individual must register for their own ticket.
LeeAnn Kriegh is a writer and nature lover who has combined her passions to create two full-color nature guides, and . She has more than 20 years of experience as a freelance writer for businesses, nonprofits, newspapers and magazines. She’s also an avid hiker who had a hunch she’d enjoy every outdoor activity more if only she knew what the heck she was seeing and hearing along the trail. As it turns out, she was right. The Nature of Bend and The Nature of Portland have given thousands of readers that same opportunity to get to know the facts and stories behind hundreds of species that make Central Oregon and the Portland area such beautiful places to live and visit.
