Death Cafés are a supportive, participant-led conversation space where we help facilitate different topics around death. Whether you're grieving a loved one, curious about end-of-life planning, the concept of mortality or simply want to open up a meaningful discussion, everyone is welcome.

The concept of the Death Café originated with Swiss sociologist and anthropologist Bernard Crettaz, who organised the first café mortel in 2004. Inspired by Crettaz's work, the movement grew further when Jon Underwood began organising these gatherings in the UK in 2011. Today, Death Cafés are held globally as scheduled, non-profit events to talk about the one thing we all share: death.
Come as you are. No agenda, no judgment, just good conversation and a chance to connect.
We’ll provide the tea, coffee and treats — bring your thoughts and curiosity!

Miindala – means "doing things well" – and reflects on our commitment to honouring the traditions, wisdom, and connection to land that the Gumbaynggirr people have nurtured for thousands of years.
We acknowledge that this event is taking place on the lands of the Gumbaynggirr people. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present. We honour their ongoing connection to this land, its waterways, and its culture.
