Join us on Friday December 5 as our community comes together to support a beautiful local family going through every parent’s worst nightmare.
Five-month-old April has recently been diagnosed with Wilms tumour, a rare and aggressive childhood kidney cancer. Her treatment involves 12 months of chemotherapy and surgery at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle - more than four hours away from home.
During this time, April’s mum, Rose, will need to stay in Newcastle full-time while her dad, Pip, travels back and forth and cares for their toddler, Theo. With both parents taking time off work and juggling hospital stays, travel costs, and daily living away from home, the financial pressure is enormous.
This fundraiser aims to help ease that load so Rose and Pip can focus on one thing:
Helping April fight and heal.
