Join the Burroughs community on Saturday, August 30, from 11:30 a.m. to (tbd by each apple picker), to welcome our international students, enjoy lunch, share stories, and introduce them to a regional favorite—apple picking at Eckert’s Farm.
We’ll gather for lunch and storytelling in Eckert’s restaurant, followed by a chance to pick apples in the orchards.
Current students, faculty, and parents will be charged $30 through the bookstore. Middle School students must be accompanied by an adult (maximum of three students per adult). Please contact Keith Vassall if you need assistance covering the cost.
Alumni reservations will be confirmed once a check made out to John Burroughs School – D.E.I.E. – Apple Picking is received. Please deliver checks to the JBS Business Office by August 28 to reserve your spot.
This event will take place at 951 S. Green Mount Road, Belleville, IL 62220. We will meet at the Eckert’s restaurant. Please note that this experience involves some walking and may be challenging for individuals with limited mobility.
