In this workshop, you'll learn how to shape and customize a beautiful, functional matcha bowl and its perfect companion — a whisk stand designed to help your chasen dry properly and last longer. Whether you’re new to clay or have a bit of experience, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind, get creative, and walk away with something meaningful you’ll actually use.
We’ll guide you through basic handbuilding techniques — no pottery wheel needed — and show you how to shape, smooth, and add your own unique flair to each piece. Go for clean and classic or add texture, carving, or decoration for something totally one-of-a-kind.
