Stress isnโt all bad. A little bit of stress can keep us motivated to overcome challenges to grow and evolve.
However, prolonged or chronic stress is detrimental to our health and is the most common cause of disease that I have witnessed as a health coach.
I too have suffered severe effects of stress, including: chronic gut health issues, adrenal fatigue, malabsorption, hair falling out, absent periods and body tension.
Yoga and Ayurveda are wholistic tools for self care and empowerment and proven to help stress reduction and improving states of balance and ease.
What to expect in this session
15 minute - Welcome and introduction with a grounding practice that will lead to reflecting on your intention.
45 minute - Facilitated workshop on the impact of stress: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually (according to Ayurveda and Yoga) with activities for self reflection.
1.5 hours - Yoga practice including:
- Gentle dynamic movement plus restorative Yin Yoga for cooling and calming the nervous system (Apana Vayu + Root and Sacral Chakra).
- Breath work practices to calm the mind and create balance and ease.
- Yoga Nidra meditation (an ancient science that enables disconnecting from the reactive mind to improve higher awareness and states of ease.
