The Dandenong Ranges own Dave Diprose is a songwriter and storyteller whose music draws from personal experience, family history, and the lives of those around him.
His songs paint vivid pictures of rural landscapes and stories from a bygone era, rooted in the traditions of bluegrass, blues, folk, and singer-songwriter styles.
A multi-award-winning writer of songs and tunes, Dave is an accomplished guitarist. His style has been described as where Steve Earle meets Flatt and Scruggs with a touch of The Dingoes.
His playing is both expressive and understated. Dave performs with long-time collaborator Darryl Thompson (Dobro, guitar, vocals) creating a warm, dynamic sound.
With decades of live performance under his belt, including festival stages and support slots for international acts, Dave brings depth, professionalism, and heart to every show.
