BUNA Balkan Tour — Pristina Edition
BUNA is the largest platform for contemporary art dedicated to celebrating and exploring the Bulgarian visual scene. Established in Varna in 2023, the festival has already showcased 327 Bulgarian and international artists across its first two editions (2023 and 2024), with 54 exhibitions, over 30 urban interventions, and numerous talks, performances, discussions, and other events.
For its third edition (03–08 September 2025), BUNA is turning its gaze towards the Balkans — a region of shared histories, collective trauma, a mutual love for burek, and a distinct cultural identity that has long shaped and influenced the fabric of European culture.
We are the Balkans. We strive, we fight, we love — and history has proven - we can overcome anything. This year, BUNA 3 is committed to channeling the Balkan spirit by welcoming more voices from the regional contemporary scene into our program.
A special highlight in BUNA 3 is the introduction of the Balkan Contemporary Art Prize — a €3,000 stipend initiated by the Singer-Zahariev Foundation, the most active private art foundation in Bulgaria.
The Balkan Contemporary Art Prize aims to build a bridge to the global art scene while also encouraging collaboration and cultural exchange within the region. It contributes to a broader discourse and shines a spotlight on the unique perspectives and talents of Balkan visual artists. All BUNA participants based in or representing a Balkan country are eligible for the prize (see full info here).
