Ciarán Ó Maonaigh is an acclaimed fiddle player from the GaothDobhair Gaeltacht in County Donegal, known for his deep roots in the Donegal fiddle tradition. A former TG4 Young Traditional Musician of the Year, Ciarán was heavily influenced by his grandfather, the renowned musician and teacher Francie Mooney, as well as members of Altan and other Donegal greats. He is a founding member of the trio Fidil, whose innovative recordings have received widespread critical acclaim. In addition to performing and recording, Ciarán is also a documentary director & producer, bringing traditional music to new audiences through film and media.
