Announcing our May Solo Exhibition: The Promise of Dawn by Maria Liddy

The Hallows Gallery is proud to present The Promise of Dawn, a new collection of abstract landscapes by acclaimed Irish artist Maria Liddy.

The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, 24th May 2025, at our Ormeau Road gallery.

Join us from 12:00 PM for a celebratory afternoon of art, conversation, and a glass of something bubbly as we unveil this radiant and uplifting collection.

In a time that often feels fractured and uncertain, Liddy offers us a striking visual language of hope and renewal. Using a warm, sunlit palette, her work captures the transformative energy of dawn — a reminder that light always breaks through the dark.

About the Artist

Maria Liddy is a Belfast-based Irish painter whose vibrant and expressive landscapes have quickly gained recognition since her debut at The Hallows Gallery in 2024.

Primarily working with palette knives in oils and acrylics, Liddy draws inspiration from her hiking adventures and the surrounding natural beauty of the Irish landscape. Her bold, saturated use of colour and dynamic texture breathe energy and emotion into each piece.
