SCREEN/PRINT: Clueless

You're not "totally buggin" - Amy Heckerling's Clueless really is 30 years old and 4K restored. Isn't she a Betty? Attendees will receive a free Clueless poster by artist Stephen Maurice Graham, designed for SCREEN/PRINT in 2018.

Released three decades ago, Clueless centres around Cher (Alicia Silverstone)—a charismatic, bubbly, fashionable teenager—who takes on the task of becoming a matchmaker after giving her new classmate Tai (Brittany Murphy) a makeover. As Cher navigates the ups and downs of teenage life, she learns some major lessons about love, friendship, and the importance of looking beyond appearances.

A modern adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Emma, Clueless is a fun take on 1990s teen culture that captures the decade’s iconic fashion and sly humor.

Screening as part of the Naughton Gallery’s SCREEN/PRINT series in collaboration with QFT and UsFolk. This specially commissioned illustrated poster for Clueless was created by Stephen Maurice Graham in 2018.
