About the event

Conservation Detection Dogs at Divis and the Black Mountain
Join us for a fascinating session with Dr. Caroline Finlay from Conservation Detection Dogs NI, as she explores how detection dogs are used in the world of conservation.

From detecting bat species to tracking rare plants, detection dogs have proven to be one of the most effective tools for surveying, recording and aiding conservation and species protection.

Dr. Finlay will share insights into how these amazing animals are used in the field, plus a live demonstration showcasing the dogs in action!

Please note this session will begin in the Nissen Hut located in the lower car park, followed by a short 0.5 mile walk up to the Divis Café where refreshments can be purchased. The outdoor demonstrations will then take place beside the café.

Booking is essential. This is a free event.
