Certificate in An Introduction to Counselling

We're looking forward to welcoming new students to this Introduction to Counselling with a Christian Perspective in partnership with Belfast School of Theology, commencing 30th April 2025.

If you've ever though about training to become a counsellor, or adding to your pastoral skill set, this course aims to equip students to become effective listeners and compassionate helpers.

Topics include:
Week 1: Foundations of Counselling from a Christian Worldview
Week 2: The Heart of Listening
Week 3: Understanding and Stewarding Emotions
Week 4: Cultivating Hope
Week 5: Boundaries and Duality
Week 6: Loss and New Beginnings

Each week will consist of bible teaching, theory and group discussions, incorporating self-reflection and honing key counselling skills.

This certificate also acts as a prerequisite for the Diploma in Integrative Counselling from a Christian Perspective.
