Belfast Kidical Mass Bike Ride

Join us for a Kidical Mass Bike Ride, a slow paced bike ride with disco tunes - for all ages and abilities starting at 1.30pm at the Beacon of Hope/ Nuala with the Hula and continuing along the Lagan towpath to a party at Friends of The Field next to the Queen's PEC in Botanic Park.

Bring your little ones and big ones on their little and big bikes. We will have stewards and first aiders and trained ride leaders. Please wear a helmet. Please note, kids must be accompanied by their responsible adult.

If you don't have a bike, this would be a good time to buy one! Or you can hire a Belfast Bike. We are working with Disability Sport NI to provide some accessible bikes too - if you need an accessible bike or even a rickshaw, we will have some limited availability, first come first served, so please contact us on YmVsZmFzdGN5Y2xlY2FtcGFpZ24gfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== to chat to us and book a bike that would suit you. We want the Kidical Mass bike ride to suit everyone, so if you're blind, hearing impaired or have mobility issues, please get in touch so we can make arrrangements to ensure you're properly included.

We are taking over the road at Stranmillis embankment, as a nod to Belfast Critical Mass, a grassroots awareness-raising bike ride that happens the last friday of every month, unafilliated with Belfast Cycle Campaign.

Don't forget to pack some snacks and water for the journey, but no nuts. But we will have some food available to buy, along with entertainment and activities at a party at the end point, in Botanic Park at Friends of the Field Community garden, next to the PEC.

We will be taking photos and video footage during the public, open air event, for media and social media and promotional purposes. If you do not want your child's image to be used you must alert us and the videographer/ photographer on the day and we will do our best to avoid photographing them in the crowd. You can also contact us after the event to review footage to ensure your child does not feature.

This event is all about having a great time with your friends and children while promoting a healthy, active and climate friendly lifestyle. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
