Jennifer Burkinshaw, local author
'From Setting to Story'
Jennifer is a local author, who after teaching English and Drama for over 20 years felt drawn to writing.
After completing her MA in Creative Writing, she published her first novel 'Igloo', which won the grand prize at Eyelands International Book Award. Her second novel, 'Happiness Seeker', is set around Grange-over-Sands and is described as ‘a powerful story of love and hope in the face of darkest danger.’ Jennifer will share the evolution of 'Happiness Seeker' from its Morecambe Bay setting to the completed novel.

Non-members, including men, and members from other WI branches are welcome to attend at the cost of £5.00
