Project: Patchwork Drawstring Bags

Inspired by the Japanese Komebukuro, or ‘rice bags’, these simple square drawstring bags can be easily customised to add coloured panels, patchwork details, bright linings with pockets, whatever your heart desires. These are a little more complicated than a standard drawstring bag, but are a quick way to use up small pieces of fabric in a fun way!

This is an ideal class for sewists who are just beginning their sewing journey.
