OFFICIAL EVENT TICKET LAUNCH - 1st DECEMBER
Girls Weekend Away “GWA” is an event designed for women by women.
This event is not only to celebrate women in such a male dominated sport, but also to introduce more women into airsoft.
We recognise that airsoft can be quite daunting, so we are creating an event where no pressure or experience is required.
At GWA we will host a social weekend full of airsoft and activities, where men can get involved too!
Let’s celebrate the female airsoft community!
GIRLS ONLY (3 DAY WEEKEND TICKET)
Friday to Sunday Weekend ticket for girls only. Includes camping, the Friday night social, the Saturday Girls Vs Girls Game and the Sunday Game. This is a girls only ticket.
GIRLS ONLY FIRST TIMERS (3 DAY WEEKEND TICKET)
Friday to Sunday Weekend ticket for girls that have never played before. This Includes rental equipment, camping, the Friday night social, Saturday Girls Vs Girls Game and the Sunday Skirmish. This is a girls only ticket. This ticket will be significantly discounted with the aim to encourage more women to join the sport.
SUNDAY GAME DAY
A regular Sunday game day is available for all players. Please note; those camping the night before must purchase an additional camping ticket.
WEEKENDER CAMPING
Essential for those without a weekend ticket that wish to camp on the Friday and Saturday night. This ticket does not include any saturday and sunday game sand is an add-on. This option is suitable for those that want to attend the festival and enjoy the atmosphere. Entertainment and activities will be provided while the girls play their Saturday game.
June 6th:
The first day of the event, its open to all but the main purpose is for all the girls to meet each other, and have a social and see what the community is all about. For all the new players who have never played airsoft before, we will have some training drills and also attack sense target shooting to give players a chance to learn the gun and get used to trouble shooting any problems you might have with your equipment. Music, entertainment and drinks will be available throughout the day and night.
June 7th:
This is the main game day, and this will run across the entire site, it will be girl vs girls only, For all the guys who are attending and supporting, we will have the gulag open for mini games, and we will have some entertainment in the safe zone for guys to keep themselves occupied while the ladies fight on the field.
June 8th:
This will be a mixed game day with all players on site, and will give a chance for the new players to put all the skills they have learned to the test, in an environment they can expect if they were to take up this sport as a hobby.
So to answer the main question we have had: Yes both men and women are allowed on site, and there will be small games and entertainment for the guys to play separate to the ladies, but this event is predominantly aimed at the women, and getting more women into the sport, So the Saturday main game is for the ladies only. The Sunday will be the only day both men and women will play on the same field.
