Crochet for Complete Beginners – Your First Stitch Starts Here!
Have you always wanted to learn to crochet but didn’t know where to begin? This relaxed, friendly class is designed especially for absolute beginners. No experience needed – just curiosity and a willingness to give it a go!
What You’ll Learn
How to hold a crochet hook and yarn comfortably
What to actually do with them (no confusing jargon!)
The basic stitches to get you started
How to create a simple – but very useful – cotton dishcloth
By the end of the session, you’ll have made a start on your very own handmade dishcloth and gained the confidence to keep stitching at home.
What to Bring
You only need a few simple supplies:
1 ball of double knit cotton yarn
A crochet hook (size suitable for DK yarn)
Small scissors
A knitters needle (for sewing in the ends)
Joy will provide a clear, beginner-friendly pattern for you to use in class and take home, so you can carry on practising.
Dates & Booking
There are three available dates – book one, two, or come along to all three! Each session is welcoming and supportive, perfect for building your confidence step by step.
And if you fall in love with the craft (it happens all the time!), you’ll be able to join our monthly crochet groups.
Wednesdays 10.00-12.30
