Spend two and half creative, connection-filled hours at Flying Moon Farm getting to know the sheep behind the fleece and discovering the magic of wool, from soil health to felted soap. Have fun making your own felted soap.
This workshop invites you to meet our little flock and the horses, learn how their presence supports the regenerative cycles of our farm, and explore the full journey of wool processing—from raw fleece to finished craft. Play with each stage of the fibre process from raw to carded and craft your very own wet felted soap to take home. No experience necessary!
As we work with this ancient, earth-friendly material, we’ll share stories of the deep relationship between sheep and land, and how honoring animals through thoughtful fibre craft is part of how we care for our community and our ecosystem.
Whether you're a seasoned maker or brand new to fibre arts, this is a space to have fun, get creative, and explore a new art form in a unique setting surrounded by gardens, animals, and good company.
Registration includes all materials and some of our own forest tea. Dress in layers for the weather, wear solid shoes, bring a journal and a flask of water if you'd like.
NOTE: This workshop takes place at a working farm with the animals in our indoor workshop space.
