Lady Sariah Fortham is a member of the Queen's Ladies, a secret group that is assigned to help protect the Queen in any situation that her soldiers cannot attend to her in. Trained from a young age in combat and subterfuge, the Queen's Ladies are expected in public to appear as nothing more than silly girls who assist the Queen in her dressing and gossip.
However, Sariah has gotten herself into a situation, and her world is turned upside down. While she is still performing her duties as a Queen's Lady, she is now also performing service for The Morrigan. The Battle Crow called Sariah into her fold to exact justice on those who commit atrocities on those weaker than they. Sariah has to figure out if she will be able to hold onto the mortal life she once knew, or if her service to The Battle Crow will force her into a life of solitude and misery.
Sariah will have to find out who she really is, and if she will exact justice, or go down a different path and exact vengeance on the one who put her in this situation.
