July 8-11 - Mythical & Magical Creatures
This week at camp we will bring to life a world full of fire-breathing dragons, enchanting unicorns and other mythical and magical creatures. Students will select to be in either Group A “The Dragon Slayers” or Group B “Unicorn Trainers.”
Group A will turn dragons, lizards, and other scaly creatures into themed art projects. We will be sketching and then sculpting our creatures out of clay, painting a ceramic project, crafting dragon paper airplanes, painting vibrant large-scale creatures and hatching a mystery egg. We will also create a paper-mâché sword and shield that every dragon slayer must be equipped with. Group B will sparkle like a unicorn, splash like a mermaid, and twinkle like a dancing fairy as we explore this magical imaginative world. We will be crafting a whimsical paper-mâché rainbow creation, sketch a magical mermaid tail and sculpt it from clay, paint a ceramic unicorn, create mini magical fairy gardens, paint a vibrant large-scale magical creature and hatch a mystery egg.
