About "Love for a Lifetime!"
When Shawn and Lauren Sparks launched their first wedding venue, Sandlewood Manor, they felt a profound calling to support couples beyond their wedding day. While weddings are usually a one-day celebration, marriage is meant to last a lifetime. This conviction led them to establish Love for a Lifetime, a 501(c)(3) ministry dedicated to offering encouragement, support, and resources to strengthen marriages.
At the heart of Love for a Lifetime is a desire to see marriages not merely survive, but truly thrive—for God’s glory. To fulfill this mission, Love for a Lifetime hosts quarterly, fun-themed Date Nightsfor married couples in the Houston area, as well as Dinner with a Purpose—an intentional evening featuring a multi-course meal paired with guided couple activities, meaningful conversations, and teaching centered on a relevant marriage topic.
Love for a Lifetime is currently led by Chris and Brooke McCarty, who host and present Dinner with a Purpose alongside Shawn and Lauren Sparks. As the ministry expands to additional venues, couples can expect to see Chris and Brooke leading the evening, guiding the teaching, conversations, and experiences that define the event.
Each gathering is designed for couples to leave feeling more connected to one another and better equipped to help their marriage flourish.
