What to See and Do:
Artistic Welcome: Admire the vibrant community-painted murals at our gates as you arrive.
Wagon Ride Adventure: Climb aboard a wagon ride to delve into local history, learn about agricultural societies, and discover the diverse plant life growing at BADAS.
Urban Agriculture Centre (UAC) Exploration: Disembark at our 2-acre Urban Agriculture Centre and immerse yourself in a world of hands-on learning and relaxation:
Nature Activities & Games: Participate in engaging nature-based activities and games.
Garden Tours: Take a guided tour of our pollinator and community gardens.
Relax & Dine: Unwind in nature and enjoy a delicious lunch from our BBQ fundraiser.
Explore the UAC: Discover our food forest, passive solar greenhouse with a tool library, school demonstration garden, and 104 community garden plots.
Water Features: Learn about our 2-acre pond and wetland area, which supports a rich diversity of wildlife and insects while also providing vital water for our gardens.
Support Local:
Purchase local soil amendments made by Annelida Soil Solutions, worms and soil experts.
Buy a beautiful native flower to enhance habitat in your own backyard or as a gift for a friend.
Special Event: Bumble Bee Box Building Workshop
This year, we are thrilled to host a Bumble Bee Box Building Workshop in partnership with and supporting the Alberta Native Bee Council (ANBC).
What you'll learn: Participants will gain valuable knowledge about the crucial role of pollinator habitats in conservation efforts.
Hands-on activity: Build your very own bumble bee nesting box to take home!
