Join Sea Islands Academy at Penn Center for a cozy evening celebrating Lowcountry culture and Gullah Geechee heritage through fire, storytelling, food, music, and student creativity. Experience the richness of local traditions while supporting our scholars’ learning and expression.

If you are interested in being a Chef, Storyteller, Oyster Roaster, or Sponsor, please reach out to us! Each Chef will be paired with a scholar for the evening, creating a truly special experience.

We can’t wait to welcome you to this community-wide event! Admission is free for our Sea Islands storytelling and other cozy bonfire events, which are open for all to enjoy. You’ll also find oysters, Brunswick stew, and a variety of delicious offerings from on-site food vendors available for purchase.
