Dear Red Lion Families,
It’s that time of year already, and to help celebrate the return of our children, Red Lion will be hosting a back-to-school BBQ and meet the teacher on Wednesday, August 27 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This will be a great evening of fellowship and fun with a DJ, moon bounces, dunk tank, food, popcorn, cotton candy, and so much more!
I am writing to give you details on what to bring for the picnic and a glimpse at Wednesday's schedule prior to the picnic.
Red Lion will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, buns, condiments, water bottles, paper products, and plastic ware. The students will be able to enjoy some bounces, games, and music.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
A BBQ with 400 family’s needs many, many volunteers to make an event of this magnitude happen. This is a great opportunity for families to get their volunteer hours underway, but even more importantly, it’s a great opportunity to get to know new people and reconnect with old friends.

WHAT TO BRING:
Bring something to sit on while you eat -- a blanket or lawn chairs (the grassy area in front of the Pusey Center will be set aside for picnic seating)
Bring something to drink if you prefer, something other than water. Water bottles will be provided.
Bring a dish to share --
If your last name begins with A through P, please bring a side dish to share.
If your last name begins with Q through Z, please bring a dessert to share.
ALL FOOD ITEMS MAY BE DROPPED OFF IN THE ELEMENTARY GYM BEFORE MEET THE TEACHERS.

4:30 PM - Meet the Teacher – Preschool, Elementary, Upper School
5:00 PM – Meet the Teacher - Daycare
5:30 PM – Moon Bounces open for those done with Meet the Teacher
6:00 PM - BTS BBQ begins – Food Opens
