Rescues: A Progressional Series 2

The next installment of Rescues: A Progressional series, is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 28, with a rain makeup date of Sunday, 29, added for good measure.

Event 2 will see the same rescue skills being performed, both assisted & self, in an environment where participants attending should expect conditions to be elevated both wind & surface waves wise.

Basic requirements to attend include: a signed JSSKA waiver, A sea kayak of at least 14.5-feet in length w/at least #2 bulkheads/dry compartments. Any and all associated gear required as part of your personal kit.

Performing rescues, both assisted & self, requires paddlers to have a level of fitness capable of withstanding the physical demands of helping rescue others, as well as being able to move yourself from the water and back into your own sea kayak.

This event is hands on and conducted in a way where learning is paramount overall.
