Squid City Slingers: Bluegrass, Folk & Gypsy Jazz Fusion
Get ready for foot-stomping rhythms and fiery strings with the Squid City Slingers, a high-energy acoustic trio blending bluegrass, folk, gypsy jazz, and rock into one irresistible sound. Based in the Twin Cities—with a second home in the Twin Ports—this trio has been lighting up stages across the Midwest with their stand-up bass grooves, flat-picking guitar, and soaring fiddle melodies.
Their performances combine heartfelt originals with carefully chosen covers, delivering tight harmonies and infectious energy that gets crowds moving. The band’s upcoming EP, Harbors & Highways, drops later this summer, featuring their new single Feed My Fire—a perfect preview of the dynamic sound they’ll bring to the Bayfield lakeshore.

Concerts by the Lake take place every Tuesday and Thursday from June 10 through August 28, 2025, at Memorial Park, with Lake Superior as the backdrop. All shows are free and open to the public.
Bring your lawn chair, your friends, and your dancing feet. Leashed dogs are welcome, too!
