Saturday Science, May 3rd: How Would You See the World With X-Ray Vision?

Abstract: In this presentation, you can find out more about looking at the world using X-rays other than “just” X-ray images and how X-rays are created at LSU-CAMD. We can understand so much more today about the world around us using X-ray based techniques that probe matter on the atomic scale. I will discuss examples from subjects such as art, archeology, bio-medicine, chemistry, environmental science, geology, and material science to show how ingeniously or simple some questions were answered using X-ray based methods.
