Hosted by the Broadmoor Residents’ Association.
We are looking for floats, cars, music and other entertainment (no animals) to be part of the festivities.
Lineup begins at 09:00 am.
Parade rolls promptly at 11:00 am.
If you choose to participate, here are some of the details you should know:
• We ask each group (except school and youth groups) to pay a $26 registration fee to help defray part of the insurance expense. Please make your donation check payable to Broadmoor Residents’ Association.
• This is an outdoor event and the parade will roll as long as weather conditions permit.
• The parade route begins at Broadmoor High School parking lot (on Goodwood Blvd), east onto Goodwood Blvd, through the S curve, then north on Woodhaven St, then west on S. River Oaks Dr., then south on Cora Dr., then east on Goodwood Blvd back to the Broadmoor High School parking lot. The parade route is about 1.9 miles in length.
• Participants need to provide their own ‘throws’.
Every year we ask both participants and attendees to bring a non-perishable food item(s) for donation. All the food items collected will be given to the food pantry immediately after the parade.
Float rentals - John Burly (225-333-2330) will give a 25% discount on float rentals for the Broadmoor parade.
All floats larger than a golf cart must have a minimum of 3 walkers for safety.
