6 of the region's funniest women will take to the stage to raise money for YWCA's work supporting the victims of domestic and sexual violence - 100% of ticket sales for this event will be donated
Like many industries, the comedy industry has been impacted by the blight of men behaving appallingly to women, both inside and outside the industry. When one of the originally planned shows had to be cancelled as a result, we decided to offer the slot to some of the funniest women we know, including some familiar faces to Gag N Bone Man Comedy regulars.
Our host is Sarah JH, and we have 5 wonderful performers:
Nicole Scott is a brand new performer who has arrived fully-formed on the Yorkshire scene, we predict big things in her future. (‘Nicole has great jokes and a calm composure I could only dream of’ - Harriet Kemsley.)
April Louise is another newbie but is already gaining a reputation for dark, irreverent humour about topics many would not be brave enough to find the funny in.
Wendy King is a bag of relatable energy with great jokes and stories about taboo topics, and will be back in the final show of the festival as she reached the final of the Gag N Bone Man Comedy New Comedian of the Year Competition.
Helen White is a Gag N Bone Man Comedy regular, and is a pocket rocket of laughs from the north east.
And finally Lorna Gray is a Leeds-based comic showcasing her unique take on the world and the way she sees it.
