Summer Bog Walk

The east bog at the Bengel Wildlife Center is my favorite place in all of our 259 acre property. Join Drew Monks, Director of Wildlife Programs, as we explore carnivorous plants, carpets of spongy moss, blueberries, cranberries, and other botanical oddities! It will be a fabulous tour of discovery in one of Central Michigan’s most fascinating ecosystems.

*The bog is very wet! Please bring waterproof footwear/ rubber boots, or something you don’t mind getting wet*

-This event will involve ~1.5 miles of hiking-
-All ages welcome, as long as you don't mind getting your feet wet-
