The four wonderful books we will be performing are:
Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney. Alice made a promise to make the world a more beautiful place, then a seed of an idea is planted and blossoms into a beautiful plan. This beloved classic and celebration of nature—written by a beloved Caldecott winner—is lovelier than ever!
The Circus Ship by Chris Van Dusen. When a circus ship runs aground off the coast of Maine, the circus animals must stagger to the shore of a small island. At first the townspeople view them with suspicion, but it's not long before locals and animals are sharing the island in harmony. Loosely based on a true historic event, The Circus Ship is a story about the bonds of friendship and community.
Grumpy Monkey Up All Night by Suzanne Lang & Max Lang. Everyone’s favorite New York Times bestselling Grumpy Monkey is back in this hilarious bedtime story about dealing with frustration when you don’t get to do what you want!
The Leaf Thief by Alice Hemming & Nicola Slater. Squirrel is so cross. Yesterday there were loads of beautiful leaves on his tree, but today? Today some are missing and Squirrel is convinced that someone has stolen them; there must be a leaf thief on the loose!
