Step into the heart of the Cotswolds and embark on a Nordic walk like no other! Join this wonderful experience led by two exceptional guides – Dan Coussins White, bird-lover and owner of White Line Coaching, and Nordic Walking instructor Lindsay.
Your journey starts on Woolley Lane, an attractive rural lane framed by hedgerows and mature trees. From there, we descend towards Crossleaze Farm, where open meadows and winding paths lead us to Lam Brook – a peaceful stream rising from Cotswold Hills springs . Sheltered by trees, we cross charming footbridges, following the brook along the valley floor before climbing towards the historic Saxon hamlet of Woolley, a hidden village filled with character.
During our Nordic walk, Dan, a passionate bird enthusiast on the local area, will be giving us insights into the various birds that inhabit the valley, including migrating swallows, house martins and birds of prey. He’ll be helping us identify them and giving lots of other interesting information.
On our return we’ll enjoy spectacular views across the valley, taking in Little Solsbury Hill (the site of an Iron Age hill fort) and the remains of Charmy Down’s wartime airfield, a landscape steeped in history and beauty.
We finish at Well Bath, Dan’s training studio, where tea, coffee, and delicious home-baked cakes await. Relax, refuel, and hear more fascinating nature insights from Dan.
