Local Food Celebration feast and live music

We are coming together to celebrate local food and the coming of Summer!

Traditionally celebrated as Beltane, the great fire festival marking the onset of summer, the 1st May (May day) is an important date in the farming and food calendar, so we wanted to bring community together to celebrate the power of local food.

Bring a dish with at least one ingredient from local farms and we will co-create a feast of seasonal abundance together!

Live music from local musicians will be provided and we will have a local crafts and food mini market pop up to celebrate the produce and creatives of our valley and bioregion.

It is also the last day of the We Are Avon crowdfunder ! A regional project for food and water resilience and the event will be a final push for reaching our target so we can begin to take real action to regenerate our food and water systems. There will be various short speeches, performances, games and a raffle for an engaging evening of celebration and support for our local River, Landscape and People!
