September in Bath heralds in all things Jane Austen, and so we thought this month we’d turn our eyes to the woman of the hour! We’ll discuss Austen and her vast legacy, particularly looking at the wealth of re-writes, spin-offs and adaptations centred in Austen’s world. We’ll be reading Gill Hornby’s recent novel Miss Austen, which homes in on Jane’s relationship with her older sister Cassandra, and offers the reader a tantalising insight to the long-debated question of Jane’s missing letters…
