This walk replaces our Summertime Picnic Point walk as its too dark once DLS ends. It is fully lit, but a Glow collar or torch can be helpful for some areas.
All dogs and their pawrents are welcome. If your dog has never walked in the dark, on boardwalks, this is a great walk to introduce them to something new.
This walk is fully lit for a night walk so perfect if you want company on that after work walk.

PARKING: Marine Pde near The Entrance SLSC
MEETING PLACE: Concrete viewing platform south side of The Entrance SLSC
Alternate meeting spot for shorter walk: The Entrance Memorial Park Car Park.
DIFFICULTY: Easy. Fully pathed. There is gradual incline. Most of the walk has plenty of room for dogs to have lots of space.
DISTANCE: 3kms return
PACE: Easy
ACCESSIBILITY: Stroller friendly. Has an incline so members with mobility issues need to decide if walk is suitable.
WALK INFO: We walk along a lovely path next to the channel from the SLSC to the public precinct at The Entrance, then continue along the foreshore passed the The Entrance Bridge to Picnic Park where we stop for a break before making the return journey.
Your dog will experience different surfaces - boardwalk, pavers, cement - as well as the lights & delights of the public precinct. It is fairly quiet at this time of night, but there are people fishing & eating outside. All great learning experiences for your puppa.
FACILITIES: Bins, seats, toilets and water along the walk. Just ask if you need anything. Most of the restaurants and pubs in the area are dog friendly if you'd like a meal afterwards.
We suggest a bike torch or colorful lit collar on your dog.
All dogs are welcome, but must be on leash - please no retractables.
Treats are fine for your own dog, but we ask that you do not treat other dogs, due to medical and aggression issues with some dogs
Please remember to:
Ask - before you meet a new dog.
Act - If the answer is no please move away & give the dog some space.
If the answer is yes. 3 second rule is a good way to start
Achieve - a safe & fun walk.
