Teen Thursdays is open to 13-17 years and 18 year-olds who are seniors in high school!
APRIL:
- April 3: Video Game Tournament: Come show off your superior thumb skills! We will hold a Nintendo Switch Sports tournament!
- April 10: Museum Visit: We will meet at the Bastrop County Museum to create a scavenger hunt! Sign up during Teen Thursday before April 10th.
- April 17: Around the World: Turkey: Join us for a delicious dive into Turkish culture! Sample traditional Turkish snacks and play fun new games!
- April 24: Kindergarten Teen Time: Step back into your childhood with games, storytime, crafts, and snacks! Relive the fun of kindergarten with your favorite activities!
MAY:
- May 1: No Teen Thursdays as the Friends of the Library Book Sale is happening
- May 8: Museum Visit: Meet us at the Bastrop County Museum to try out a scavenger hunt created by other teens!
- May 15: Back to the 90's: Get your groove on with 90s-inspired games, karaoke, and more! Come dressed in your favorite 90s style and join the fun!
- May 22: No Teen Thursdays as staff prepare for Summer Reading, which starts next week!
- May 29: Video Game Tournament: Come show off your superior thumb skills! Teens will decide, day of, whether to do a Mario Kart, Smash Bros. Brawl, or Nintendo Sports tournament!
JUNE:
- June 5: Cereal and Coloring: Try new cereals, rate your favorites, and unwind with creative coloring pages.
- June 12: Slime Time: Test out different slime formulas, customize your own creations, and rate the best (or grossest) ones.
- June 19: No Teen Thursdays as the library is closed for Juneteenth.
- June 26: Intro to Agri-Life: Meet Amanda Ortega from Agri-Life and get a sneak peek of our upcoming cooking classes!
JULY:
- July 3: Cooking Class: A Fresh Start to a Healthier You: Join us for an educational and hands-on cooking and nutrition class. It's a great opportunity to learn about food safety while gaining confidence in the kitchen and learning important life skills.
- July 10: Cooking Class: A Fresh Start to a Healthier You: Join us for an educational and hands-on cooking and nutrition class. It's a great opportunity to learn about food safety while gaining confidence in the kitchen and learning important life skills.
