Painted Wings Bird Fest

Our beloved MayFest (est. 2018) is getting a colorful new set of wings.

Welcome to Painted Wings Bird Fest — a reimagined spring celebration of art, birds, and the natural beauty of Bastrop. Same community spirit, exciting new inspiration.

In collaboration with the Bastrop County Audubon Society there will be activities on Main Street on Friday May 1st, followed by a full lineup of demonstrations, nature talks, and more on Saturday, beginning with a walking tour of the Bastrop Bird Junction sculptures on Chestnut.
We'll end the day with Art After Dark on Saturday from 6-8pm, with the "Free As a Bird" Group show, live music with Kim Snider and a "Birds in Art" talk by Patricia Raine.
