About the event

WIEN, 1782-1796 - Adagio & Fuga

We are delighted to invite you to the second concert of our series, Das Musikzimmer 2025 – Musikalische Postkarten.

This time, we will explore the influence of J.S. Bach’s fugal writing on the composers of the Viennese Classical period. Our program, Adagio & Fuga, features works by W.A. Mozart based on fugues by J.S. Bach, a terzetto by the influential Kapellmeister J.G. Albrechtsberger, and a piece by his most illustrious student, the young L. van Beethoven.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Friday, May 2 at 19:00 in the Zunftsaal Schmiedenhof (Free entry – donations welcome).
