ABOUT THE BLUE LOTUS
The blue lotus is a sacred plant bearing significant spiritual symbolism and has been used in ritual and medicine for thousands of years. In Ancient Egypt the blue lotus symbolised the ‘origin of life’ and was also associated with rebirth. It was thought that the flowers ability to emerge from the mud through the murky depths of water and spread its petals to the sun was a metaphor for ‘life emerging from the shadows into the light’.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
Journey to Heka - Stephanie is qualified shamanic practitioner, cacao + blue lotus facilitator and professional dancer with a deep connection to Ancient Egypt. She has been travelling to Egypt for the past 21 years and studies the Egyptian pantheon bringing this to life through monthly sacred cacao + blue lotus ceremonies. She also holds ecstatic dance events across the Bedfordshire area. Stephanie has a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance.
