Palmerston Park

Hi all,
there will be a meeting at Palmerston Park next Thursday 9.10.2025 at 3.30pm with the Council representatives about upgrading the play area.
It would be great if you could make it.

I was given bellow points to think about what we would like to see in the area:

We have finally secured an amount of grant funding allocated to uplift / improve the play area at Palmerston.

The grant funding amount is relatively small (in relation to play area improvements generally) and so we really need to ensure we get the most from this finite pot and focus on any key concerns or needs for the play area site.

The onsite meeting will be an ideal opportunity for any points to be raised; we can then discuss further what we (VoGC officers) feel we can do with the available grant (based on other project outcomes) and then focus that spend based on your / the communities views.

The timeframe of completion is very tight (31st March 2026) and so any community involvement at this time would be greatly appreciated and we will base what we can do around these, and the schools thoughts / points raised.
