‘Meet the Band’ is the new semi regular event at coaltrain’s. It’s a great way to meet the people behind the music and hear about their journey of developing songs with some insight into what it takes to turn an idea into a real thing thing.
Since their formation in 2021, SMALL MIRACLES have carved out a distinctive niche in South Wales’ music scene, blending punk, new wave, and grunge influences to create a sound that has earned them critical acclaim and a loyal following.
Their debut album "A Human Connection' will explore themes of identity, desire, and liberation.
Recorded at Giant Wafer and Kings Road Studios, the album is an ambitious mix of styles featuring collaborations from across the Welsh music scene including Minas, Aisha Kigs, Freya Elsy, Mirari, Gemini Anderson and Katy Mumford.
SMALL MIRACLES will be performing two acoustic sets playing songs from the new album along with others followed by a Q and A session where we can chat about what it's like to make an album in this day and age, collaboration.
There will also be a short talk from @pollycolquhoun who designed and created the piece of stain glass that was commissioned to use for the front cover. The stain glass will be on display also.
All welcome, free entry.
