Want to test your Fairtrade knowledge?
Barry Town Council are celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight from 22nd September – 5th October 2025.
This year, Barry celebrates 10 years of being a Fairtrade Town. Since being awarded the status in 2015, Barry Town Council has made a commitment to supporting Fairtrade, and through it to support producers and communities in low and middle income countries.
Whether you're in it to win it, or for just a bit of fun, come along and join Barry Town Council, for a Fairtrade Quiz Night on Friday 26th September from 7:00pm at the Cemetery Approach Community Centre, St Teilo Ave, Barry, CF62 8BP
Teams can be made from groups of up to four people, and there will be a prize of Fairtrade goodies for the winning team.
Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event. All proceeds from the ticket sales and any donations on the night will be split equally between the Mayor's Charities of the Year – Valeways and Mind in the Vale.
