Seed Library Launch

It may be cold outside but it's time to start dreaming about spring! Stop by and check out the 2026 Seed Library, officially launching on Saturday, January 31.

From 10 AM to 1 PM, seeds will be available to Barrington Area Library cardholders only. From 1 – 3 PM (and through the rest of the season), seeds are available to everyone. Limit of two packets per variety per person present at the Launch Event, unless otherwise noted. All seeds available while supplies last.

Master Gardeners will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and help you make your selections. After you select your seeds, try a seed paper craft with our Digital Services team.

We can't wait to see you at the Seed Library Launch! Please bring your BALibrary card with you to expedite entry and seed selection.

After the launch, the Seed Library is open to everyone during normal Library hours. Seeds are free and available while supplies last. Produce seeds are organic and non-GMO.
