Talk: RD Blackmore, author of Lorna Doone

2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of RD Blackmore, the author of the classic Romance of Exmoor – Lorna Doone.

As the Exmoor Society Trustee responsible for their archive, Lisa Eden has explored the significant collection of books, images, pamphlets and letters held in their RD Blackmore collection in order to tell the story of Blackmore’s life and of the legends and stories behind his most famous work.
