Taste your way from bean to bourbon in this bold, hands-on class. Experience the cupping process with crafted espresso and a tasting journey through an Espresso Martini with Trevor
Join us at The Parlor Room for an exclusive Espresso Martini experience featuring a guided cupping session with Dave, roaster and owner of Garage Coffee, followed by a craft cocktail session with Trevor Bowles of Maker’s Mark. You're tasting will include each individual component of the martini, including the espresso, Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, and Maker’s 46, before enjoying a full version of the finished cocktail. Walk away with a deeper understanding of how coffee and bourbon blend beautifully in flavor and story.
What is cupping? Cupping is a professional method used by coffee roasters and sommeliers to evaluate the aroma, flavor, body, and clarity of a coffee. During this experience, Dave will lead you through the process, starting with freshly ground beans, hot water, and timed tasting rounds. You’ll learn to identify tasting notes, compare origins, and experience the espresso you'll later enjoy in cocktail form. It's sensory, structured, and the best way to understand what makes great coffee stand out.
