Dive into the vibrant world of textile coloring as you learn the unique properties and application techniques of both natural dyes (sourced from plants and minerals) and synthetic dyes (modern, vibrant, and colorfast). You'll discover how to create stunning patterns using classic tie-dye methods. This hands-on experience culminates in you taking home two fantastic, personally-designed creations: a cool, colorful tie-dyed pillowcase and a matching pair of dyed socks! Come explore chemistry, history, and fashion all in one creative session.All programs will be held at the NC Cooperative Extension office located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917 starting at 5:30 pm and ending at 7:30 pm.
